Big-hearted Southern soul from an Alabama voice that can go from a whisper to a full-throated roar. 'Say I Love You' pleads over warm keys, the title track opens up like a hymn, and 'Never Meant To Hurt You' carries the ache of a late-night apology. Horns, grit, and a lot of heart. Anderson East at his most open.
