The cartoon band's debut is a hazy, head-spinning collision of dub, hip-hop, and slacker rock. 'Clint Eastwood' slouches in on that fog-machine melodica and Del's loose flow, while 'Tomorrow Comes Today' wheezes with harmonica and gloom and '19-2000' bounces sugar-bright. Sounds like a late-night radio dial spinning itself. Damon Albarn's grand left turn lands gritty and strange and irresistible.
