Justin Townes Earle's breakout: acoustic blues with rockabilly, country, and gospel running through eleven tracks. The title track won Americana Song of the Year in 2011, a gloriously gospel melody that masks a darker lyric underneath. Sparse instrumentation: acoustic guitar, upright bass, organ, vibraphone, cello. Earle passed in 2020 at thirty-eight. This is his masterwork.
