Rubbery, head-spinning funk-metal led by the most demented bass in rock. 'Jerry Was a Race Car Driver' bounces on Les Claypool's slap-happy gymnastics and cartoon yelp, 'Tommy the Cat' purrs and explodes, and nothing here behaves like normal rock. Twitchy, virtuosic, and gleefully off the wall, it's a circus run by master musicians. Weird in all the best ways.
