Crushing blues-rock that bows to late-'60s psych, hard rock, and soul, with Scott Holiday feeding a conveyor belt of fuzz-drenched riffs under Jay Buchanan's wailing, Plant-sized voice. 'Electric Man' kicks the door in, boisterous and swaggering. 'Open My Eyes' nods hard at Zeppelin before the rhythm section folds it into something woollier and folk-tinged. 'Secret' grinds dirty and low. Cut live in the room at Dave Cobb's Nashville studio on vintage gear, much of it written as the tape rolled, so the whole thing breathes and sweats. Riffs for days.
