Recorded in six days in 1970 with minimal overdubs, Fun House is seven tracks of escalating intensity. 'Down on the Street' grinds with a proto-punk riff. 'T.V. Eye' is Iggy at his most feral. The title track dissolves into free-jazz saxophone from Steve Mackay. A commercial failure at the time, now universally regarded as a direct precursor to punk rock.
