Scarily futuristic and warmly vintage at the same time — neo-soul, R&B, funk, synth-pop, and hip-hop all melted together into something that sounds like heartbreak filtered through a broken synthesizer. Tyler produced every track himself. 'EARFQUAKE' is bombastic and summery with Charlie Wilson's voice booming into the mix. Originally written for Justin Bieber and Rihanna, both of whom turned it down. 'NEW MAGIC WAND' is industrial-funk fury. 'I THINK' opens with a dusty sampled drum beat and hooks you with a bouncy bassline. Wonky song structures, dominant piano chords, and one of the strongest bass presences in recent memory.
