Morrison comes out swinging on this one, his voice a gruff, growling instrument over slinky R&B and blues grooves. The mood is restless and unbowed, horns punching and rhythm sections locked tight while he barks at a world he finds maddening. Whatever you make of the message, the band cooks. A combative, full-blooded set powered by one of the great voices still in fighting form.
